The Promesso coffee machine combines multiple complex technologies in one compact design. Through an intuitive touchscreen and a 'puck', the user can control the strength, quantity and balance between coffee and milk froth easily. Even the machine's ambiance lighting can be adjusted. The innovative Promesso is able to store the previous selections and variations, remembering the user's favourites and preferences.

The Recognition for Good Industrial Design Award (GIO award) is an independent design prize, created in 1986 by the GIO franchise. In 2015 recognitions have expanded to include various categories, such as Consumer Products, Public Planning and Transport, Professional Products, Project Facilities, and Nutrition and Retail.Additionally, six special awards will be presented to the most distinguished entries. This year's independent jury consisted of: Wim Poelman (president), Zuzanna Skalska, Andre Rotte, Jan Carel Diehl and Menno Dieperink.

VanBerlo pours Promesso
During Dutch Design Week, VanBerlo will give insight into the development of innovation and products, like Promesso, in which the user's wishes (user insights) are the beating heart of the process. Visitors and clients alike are invited to visit VanBerlo's interactive stand 'Fuel for innovation' at the Ketelhuisplein, open daily from11:00-18:00.
